Booking of guided tours of the Museum Center MUSA (Royal Palace of Portici)

During the XVI FISV CONGRESS, on 15 and 16 September from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., guided tours will be organized at the Museum Center “MUSA”, including the Royal Palace and the botanical garden. The Museum Center is located inside the Royal Palace of Portici.

Those interested in joining the MUSA and Royal Palace guided tour are asked to send an email to musa.fisv2022@gmail.com in which the date of the visit (15 or 16 September) and the names of the participants must be reported. The cost of the visit is 6 euros per person, to be paid to the MUSA box office located at the Royal Palace entrace. Tours will be done for a minimum of 25 participants per day.

Getting there

From “Capodichino” airport to Naples Central Train Station

You can take the Alibus Shuttle from Capodichino Airport to Piazza Garibaldi (Central Station). The Alibus Shuttle takes 15 minutes and runs every 20 minutes (6:00-23:20). The timetable can be found HERE .

From Naples Central Station to Reggia di Portici

Circumvesuviana

Take the Napoli-Torre Annunziata train line or the Napoli-Torre Annunziata-Sorrento train line and get off at the “Portici-Via Libertà” station (about 20 minutes).

One-way ticket costs 1.60 EUR.
The path from the station to the venue is indicated in the accompanying map. In brief, exit the station, turn left on Via Alcide De Gasperi, and walk until you reach the upper entrance of Parco Gussone (Bosco Superiore). From here, follow the dashed line on the map until you reach the entrance of the Reggia.

Ferrovie dello Stato - Trenitalia

Take the Napoli-Salerno line and get off at "Portici-Ercolano" station.
The trip takes 20 minutes. For timetable and further information go to http://www.ferroviedellostato.it.
One-way ticket costs 1,60 EUR.
For information on how to get to the entrance of the Reggia, click HERE . Briefly, from the station turn left on Corso Umberto, then once you reach Piazza San Ciro make a right on Via Università. After 400 metres you will reach the main entrance of the Reggia di Portici.

Bus

From Naples, you can take the following bus lines (extra urbane):

  • n.255, n. 254 Black and Red from Piazza Carlo III
  • line 159 from east Naples
  • line 157 from Piazza Municipio.

These lines stop either in front of the entrance of the Reggia, or in the nearby Piazza S. Ciro.
